I have checked out the status of Cypress Fairway with HUD about the FHA Approval. The information is at this link:

As you can see it is approved for FHA but they require proof to show 50% owner occupancy. I do not believe that the complex is over 50% owner occupied but I could be wrong and you will have to contact the HOA President I believe for this information. If anyone has any information on this complex and the owner occupancy levels please email them to me or leave a comment here!

We received a letter on the door stating 17 cars where broken into on July 22, 2009. Cypress Fairway is supposed to have a guard roaming 24/7 and it's in a gated community, so one wonders how 17 could get broken into. I could see 1 or 2 but 17? It's either an inside job or the security guard. I don't know how in 2009 17 cars can get broken into and one car alarm doesn't go off. If you have any information on this crime please contact police immediately. In the meantime, lock your car and get an alarm.

You may come across other condos for sale in Cypress Fairway but be aware of the dreaded Short Sale. These listing will have "SUBJECT TO THIRD PARTY APPROVAL" in them. In our experience with Short Sales they are a waste of time for everyone involved. What is it? In short, the current owner is behind in their mortgage and they are attempting to sell before they are foreclosed on. I say the word attempting because that is what really is going on. These are listed at great prices but most of the Real Estate Agents that list these do not even know if the lender will accept the short sale. The average time it takes to hear back on a short sale is 3-6 months and usually it's a no and that time is wasted. That is why you will not see any short sales on our website here at www.cypressfairway.com!
